Isleworth Monalisa was NOT painted by Leonardo Da Vinci
As an artist and as a painter, with decades of training and experience, I am convinced that the Isleworth Monalisa was NOT painted by Leonardo Da Vinci.
I could go on and on with arguments supporting my claim, but I believe that by offering one simple fact about the painting, a serious researcher will understand my position about the so called Isleworth Monalisa.
Leonardo Da Vinci, as many other painters in Florence around the end of the 15th century and the beginning of the 16th, chose to paint their pieces on poplar wood panels, they did not paint on canvas, that is a fact. So, why would Da Vinci, suddenly go from painting on poplar wood panels, to paint that one portrait on canvas that one time, and then, go back to paint on poplar wood again?
As of the carbon dating process the Swiss Foundation performed on the Isleworth Monalisa's canvas, I can say that a talented artist got his hands on an unknown painting of the period, and proceeded to paint his version of Monalisa on top of that painting. Voila !!!! You have a younger version of Da Vinci's Monalisa, you just gotta create public reasonable doubt in order to sell it for millions to a gullible collector.
